How much does an EV charger installation cost?

Standard installs start from £999 fully fitted (charger included). Final price depends on the brand you choose and how far the cable needs to run from your consumer unit. We confirm a fixed price upfront — no surprises on the day.

Which charger should I choose?

It depends on your setup. Hypervolt is the premium choice for design and app quality. Zappi is brilliant if you have solar PV — it charges your car from excess solar. Ohme works perfectly with smart tariffs like Octopus Intelligent Go for the cheapest miles. Sync Energy is reliable and well-priced if you just want a charger that works. We're happy to advise on the call once we know your home and car.

How long does the install take?

Most installs are completed in a single day, typically by lunchtime. We test the charger with your car and set up the app before we leave.

Do I need to upgrade my consumer unit?

Sometimes — modern EV chargers need a dedicated circuit and your consumer unit must have spare capacity. If an upgrade is needed, we'll let you know during the quote stage and price both together. No surprises.

Do I need an earth rod or DNO notification?

Every install includes the correct earthing arrangement, RCD protection, and DNO notification where required. We handle all the paperwork so you don't have to think about it.

What certificate do I receive?

A full Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) plus a NAPIT Building Regulations Compliance Certificate. Both sent by email within 30 days and accepted by every insurer.
