Does your home need rewiring?

If any of these apply, a rewire or partial rewire is likely the right answer.

Old fabric or rubber cabling
Common in pre-1970s homes. Insulation degrades and becomes a fire risk.
Frequent trips or burn marks on sockets
Persistent fuse trips, flickering lights or scorch marks around sockets are signs the wiring can't cope safely.
Buying or renovating a period home
Best time to rewire — before flooring and decorating go in.
EICR report flagged C1 or C2 issues
A failed EICR often means a full or partial rewire is needed.

Common questions about rewiring

Honest answers to the questions every homeowner asks before booking a rewire.

How much does a house rewire cost?
A full rewire typically starts from around £5,950 for a 2-bed, £6,950 for a 3-bed, and rises with property size. Partial rewires (just kitchen, just upstairs, etc.) cost less. Every house is different though — we always survey in person and give a fixed written quote so you know exactly what you're paying. No hidden extras.
How long does a rewire take?
A typical rewire takes 7 to 12 working days depending on the size of the property and how much rewiring is needed. We agree the timeline before we start and stick to it.
Will I need to move out?
Ideally yes — an empty property lets us work faster, which usually means a lower cost for you. But if you need to stay, we can absolutely work around you. We agree the schedule in advance and set up a temporary power connection so you're never left without electricity overnight.
How much mess will it make?
Less than you might fear. We lift floorboards and chase walls carefully, use dust sheets throughout, and hoover up at the end of every day. You'll need redecoration after, but we keep damage to a minimum.
Do you do plastering or redecoration?
No — we focus on the electrical work and leave the walls neat and ready for your plasterer and decorator. We work with clean, straight chasing lines and dust extraction to make their job as easy as possible. If you need a recommendation for a trusted local plasterer or decorator, just ask.
What certificate do I receive?
A full Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) plus a NAPIT Building Regulations Compliance Certificate. Both sent by email within 30 days and accepted by every solicitor, surveyor and insurer.
Which areas do you cover?
Bristol, Keynsham, Bath, Clifton, Redland, Bedminster, Bradley Stoke, Filton, Kingswood, Portishead, Nailsea, Clevedon, Long Ashton and surrounding areas.
